About me

As a child I used to spend hours in my room creating art and writing down stories. Any form of creative outlet was my happy place. Then as I grew older my expression became more through the lens of who I ought or thought I shoulda to be, rather than expressing my authentic self. Thus, For a period of time I lost connection with creative most forms of creative expression, which also happened to be a quite challenging time, of feeling disconnected from my authentic self.

At 25 I bought my first professional camera. After some courses and lots of creative play I had found wonderful playmate to help me catch the light of this world. Around this time I started to write again, both stories and poems.

In 2020 I entered Transformative Arts Program and spent half a summer in Italy to take part of the various courses. It was and has been a continuous journey of creative exploration, bringing me to the very core of myself. As I started to paint again it led me back to my heart, and a new sense of wholeness started to emerge from within. 

My opinion, and experience, is that creative expression is one of the most powerful ways to feel and explore our inner Self. Art lets us feel and move through feelings and states beyond words, without the need to intellectualise. It is a vehicle to be present with what is and thus also heal on a few level. As we engage with the colours and materials in front of us both the light and the darkness of our inner world can flow through our bodies. This creates the opportunity for a alchemical process where we can leave behind the black and white thinking, moving from the state of either/or to both/and. By reminding our nervous system of play and fun we can start to embody a new state of inner unity. Masculine and feminine, right and left brain, body, mind and soul. Thus creative expression can serve as medicine for the soul, retrieving the lost pieces of ourselves and mending us back to wholeness, back to a state of joy and peace.
